Philosophy
Teaching Goals
1. To create developmentally appropriate, interesting, and challenging lesson plans in order to teach my students the valuable knowledge they will need to succeed at this grade level
2. To understand my students and their needs, both personally and educationally, so that I can connect with them and establish trust and open communication between myself and them
3. To establish a caring, thoughtful, and respectful classroom community where each student has an equal opportunity to learn and grow
4. To establish my own identity and place within a classroom environment that has already begun without my previous input and expectations at the beginning of the school year
5. To continue to educate myself about best teaching practices and have the knowledge and understanding to know when to implement new ideas and change my instructional techniques to best reach my students
